Under the vibrant theme “Appointment With Future Leaders,” the Executive Mayor of Mkhondo Local Municipality, Cllr. Ngelosi Ndhlovu continued with the Mkhondo Annual Matric Prayer, which was successfully held at Esibusisweni Secondary School, located in Iswepe under Ward 04, and Nganana Secondary School, located in Amsterdam under Ward 05.
The two sessions were graced by the presence of the Whip of Council, Cllr. Siduduzo Thwala; MMC for Technical Services, Cllr. Mary Thwala; MMC for Community Services, Cllr. Walter Vilakazi; Apostle Sfiso Phakathi; Bishop Nkosi; Pastor Mnisi; and Pastor Sipho Nhleko.
This initiative aims to provide encouragement and motivation for our future leaders as they prepare to write their final examinations.
The programme is designed to inspire confidence and instill a sense of purpose among the learners, reminding them of the community’s support during this critical time.
The Executive Mayor, as a gesture of goodwill, gifted sanitary supplies and toiletries to the Matric learners, demonstrating a commitment to their well-being.
The sessions were also attended by the school principals, educators, members of the School Governing Body, Community Development Workers, and municipal officials, highlighting the collective efforts to uplift the learners.
