On the 13th March 2025, the Mkhondo Local Municipality conducted a Business Compliance Operation focused on ensuring compliance with municipal regulations.
The primary objective of this operation is to facilitate adherence to municipal laws and regulations by local businesses.
During the operation, the Municipality identified various premises that were operating in violation of municipal regulations, particularly those with outstanding municipal bills owed by the business owners.
It was discovered that some buildings were non-operational, while others were actively operating despite incurring significant municipal debt.
Residents are encouraged to settle their municipal bills promptly to enable the Municipality to provide sustainable services to all citizens.
