Today, 13 April 2025, Mkhondo Local Municipality held its first consultation meeting of the day for the 2025/26 Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Budget at Ajax Sports Ground, located in Ward 08.
The meeting was presided over by Ward Councillor Cllr. Mduduzi Ngwenya.
The primary objective of the meeting was to engage with the community regarding their service delivery needs in accordance with the IDP document. The Councillor also presented projects that have been completed by the municipality in Ward 08 and discussed the progress of other outstanding projects as outlined in the IDP document.
Residents were given the opportunity to participate in the session by providing input on the service delivery issues affecting their livelihoods.
Supporting the meeting were several attendees, including the MMC for Technical Services, Cllr. Mary Thwala, who is also a PR Councillor in the Ward; General Manager for Technical Services, Mr. Siphesihle Nkosi; Senior Manager for Environmental Management and Social Development, Mr. Vusiwe Dube; Community Development Workers; Ward Committee Members; and other key officials deployed by the municipality.
