Today, 13 April 2025, Mkhondo Local Municipality held its last consultation meeting of the day for the 2025/26 Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Budget at Alliance Church, located in Ward 14.
The meeting was presided over by Ward Councillor Cllr. Walter Vilakazi.
The primary objective of the meeting was to engage with the community regarding their service delivery needs in accordance with the IDP document.
Councillor Vilakazi also presented projects that have been completed by the municipality in Ward 14 and discussed the progress of other outstanding projects as outlined in the IDP document.
Additionally, eligible residents were encouraged to register for the indigent programme to ensure that they continue to receive essential services without disruption.
In attendance were the General Manager for Community Services, Ms. Zamanyambose Mthethwa; Senior Manager Electrical, Mr Alfred Mambane; Acting CFO Thulasizwe Motha; Community Development Workers, Ward Committee Members, and other key officials deployed by the municipality.
