Toda, 07 April 2025, Mkhondo Local Municipality held its 2025/26 IDP and Budget engagement in Skyfin, eThandukukhanya location under Ward 13.
The meeting proceedings were conducted by the Ward 13 Councillor, Cllr. Mthethwa.
The main purpose of the meeting was to engage with community concerning their service delivery needs, and for the Councillor to present projects that the municipality completed for ward 13 and discussed progress of other projects that are still outstanding as it is outlined in the previous IDP document.
The meeting further outlined the increasing municipal tariffs, rates, and taxes for the comming financial year.
In support of the meeting, attendees were MMC for Planning and Economic Development, Cllr. TE Khumalo, Senior Manager for Environmental Management and Social Services, Senior Manager for Budget and Reporting, Community Development Workers, Ward Committee members, and MLM deployed officials for key municipal services, which are Human Settlements, PED, Projects Management Unit, Water and Sanitation unit, Office of the Speaker, Communication office, and IDP office.
