Today, 6 December 2024, the Local AIDS Council successfully conducted its meeting at the Municipal Boardroom.
The meeting was presided over by Nondumiso Mavimbela, the HIV and AIDS Coordinator in Mkhondo Local Municipality.
The purpose of the meeting was to present the LAC quarterly reports concerning the activities they have undertaken since the beginning of the year and to assess whether they have achieved the goals they set in terms of assisting the community.
Stakeholders in attendance included GRIP, the Mpumalanga Addiction Rehabilitation Centre (MARC), the Department of Social Development, HEAPS, Mothers to Mothers, Traditional Council members, councilors, and municipal officials.
