The Mpumalanga Department of Economic Development and Tourism, through the Mpumalanga Office of Consumer Protection Services in collaboration with the Mkhondo Local Municipality and Gert Sibande District Municipality, conducted a National Consumer Commission inspection yesterday, 23 October 2024.
The purpose of this joint inspection was to ensure that business owners comply with all regulations outlined in the Consumer Affairs and Consumer Protection Acts.
Departments in attendance included the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Health, ICASA, the Department of Public Safety, SAPS, the Community Policing Forum, the Department of Employment and Labour, and other key stakeholders.
