The Mkhondo local Municipality Speaker of Council, Cllr. Mduduzi Ngwenya, earlier today visited the new waterworks plant, accompanied by the MMC for Technical Services, Cllr. Mary Thwala, Section 79 Technical Councillors, and General Manager for Technical Services, Siphesihle Nkosi.
This oversight visit aimed to assess the progress made by the Water and Sanitation division in addressing the ongoing water crisis affecting Mkhondo.
During the visit, they reviewed the improvements implemented at the plant and discussed strategies to ensure a reliable water supply for the community.
The team emphasised the importance of efficient water management and the need for continued investment in infrastructure to prevent future shortages.
