On 03 April 2025, The Touch A Million Kids Organisation, supported by Mkhondo Local Municipality, hosted the “Dream Kids Holidays Programme” at Nqobile Primary School in eThandukukhanya location.
This heartfelt four-days initiative started on Monday, 31 March 2025 with the aim of providing a safe and supportive environment for teenagers. Futher, protect children from vulnerability and potential dangers on the streets.
The initiative focuses on educating children about gender based violence, responsible behavior, and their personal safety. Through various activities, the programme foster a safe space where children can learn, socialise and build positive relationships with their peers.
The Acting Executive Mayor, Cllr. Walter Vilakazi commended the initiative emphasising its role in nurturing a secure and empowering environment for young people.
In support of this social welfare programme, strategic stakeholders in attendance were, Mpumalanga Addition Rehabilitation Centre, Department of Social Development, Department of Health, South African Police Service, Stats SA, GRIP, Mental Health, Phelophepha train healthcare Officials.
