The Speaker of Council for Mkhondo Local Municipality, Cllr. Mduduzi Ngwenya, yesterday, Tuesday, 10 December 2024, closed the year by conducting an outreach programme in Ward 09 at Khalambazo Village Sports Ground.
The main purpose of this outreach programme was to provide communities with a platform to raise challenges they are facing in the village while Cllr. Ngwenya outlined how local government operates.
In his remarks, Cllr. Ngwenya wished the community of Khalambazo a safe festive season holidays and called for peace amongst families during this period. Additionally, Cllr. Ngwenya condemned the acts of Gender-Based violence and urged the community to report these incidents to the relevant authorities in order to safeguard our society against the scourge of Gender-Based violence.
In attendance were Traditional Leaders, Councilors, Community Development Workers, Municipal Officials, and the community at large.
