URGENT NOTICE: PAYMENT OF OUTSTANDING CONSUMER ACCOUNTS - MUNICIPAL NOTICE NO.: 19-04-12/2019
Mkhondo Local Municipality is here by inviting all consumers to come and update their billing addresses and information for the purpose of sending monthly consumer accounts to the correct consumer address.
The Municipality is further advising consumers with outstanding debt on their municipal accounts to pay and settle such debts or either come to the municipal offices to make proper arrangements and sign payment agreement for their consumer accounts. Should a consumer continue owing the municipality with no arrangement and signed agreement with the municipality, the municipality will then terminate the services of electricity without any prior notice given to such consumer. The payments and agreements to settle municipal outstanding accounts can be entered into in the Department of Finance (Revenue section),

A notice is hereby given in terms of section 46(1) (b) of the Municipal Finance Management Act, Act no. 56 of 2003; and in terms of section 21 of the Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000.
Mkhondo Local municipality wishes to invite members of the public, national and provincial treasury to submit written comments on its intention to acquire a long-term debt of R100 million, a debt that has no finance charges in a form of performance security with its appointed service provider CIGICELL a company appointed to do vending and collections.
PUBLIC NOTICE WITHDRAWAL OF THE 2018 MUNICIPAL GENERAL VALUATION ROLL - MUNICIPAL NOTICE NO.: 18-04-12/2019
Notice is hereby given to the community of Mkhondo Local Municipality to please take note that the general valuation roll for 2018 has been withdrawn by council, and the old general valuation roll will be reinstated effective from 1 July 2018 till June 2019 and all necessary adjustments will be done on affected consumers, adjustments will be reflected on the billing month of April 2019. Consumers are also requested to note that the new general valuation roll will be implemented on 01 July 2019.
Consumers who had lodged objections and appeals are also advised that these would not be proceeded with due to reversion to an old valuation roll.
