The Speaker of Mkhondo Municipal Council, honourable Cllr M.Z Ngwenya hereby gives notice in terms of Section 19 (a) of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, No. 32 of 2000 that an Ordinary Council meeting of the Mkhondo Local Municipality will be held in the Municipal Council Chambers, situated at 33 Cnr Mark & De Wet Street, eMkhondo, on Thursday, 30 March 2023 at 10h00.
Mkhondo Local Municipality hereby invites the public to inspect the 2022/23 Adjustment Budget at the Municipal Offices as per the requirements of the Municipal Budget and Reporting Regulations which reads “within ten workings days after the municipal council has approved Adjustment Budget, the Municipal Manager must in accordance with Section 21(A) of the Municipal Systems Act, make public the approved Adjustment Budget and supporting documentation’’, as well as the resolutions referred to in regulation 25(3).

The Mkhondo Local Municipality wishes to bring water interruption to the attention of the community of Mkhondo and the surrounding areas.
Water & Sanitation division is planning to upgrade water supply pump for eZiphunzini community to suppress the water scarcity affecting eZiphunzini and parts of Sbetha. The pump installation is planned to take place on Friday, the 10th of March 2023 at 07:00 am to 16: 00 pm. The outage is planned to take 8 hours.

A notice is hereby given in terms of section 21(A) and 28 (3) of the Local Government: Municipal System Act, No32 of 2000(as amended) that the Council of Mkhondo Local Municipality has noted the Draft Annual Report 2021/22 on Tuesday 31 January 2023.
The Community is invited to view and make comments to the Draft Annual Report 201/22. The document can be accessed at the attached key strategic areas. All written comments can be addressed to the Acting Municipal Manger, details on the attached.
