The Speaker of Mkhondo Local Municipality Council, Cllr Thembelihle Nkosi hereby gives notice in terms of Section 19(a) of Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, No. 32 of 2000 that an ordinary Council Meeting of the Mkhondo Local Municipality will be held in the Council Chamber of Mkhondo Local Municipality, situated at 33 Cnr. Mark & De Wet Street, eMkhondo on Friday, 31 May 2019 at 10:00.

2019/20 DRAFT BUDGET - MUNICIPAL NOTICE NO.: 21-04-12/2019
Mkhondo Local Municipality hereby invites the public to inspect the 2019/20 Annual Budget at the Municipal Offices as per the requirements of the Municipal Budget and Reporting Regulations which reads “Within ten working days after the municipal council has approved an annual budget, the municipal manager must in accordance with section 21(A) of the Municipal Systems Act make public the approved budget and supporting documentation, as well as the resolutions referred to in regulation 25(3).

THIS NOTICE IS HEREBY ISSUED TO INFORM THE PUBLIC THAT THE MUNICIPAL OFFICES WILL BE CLOSED AT 13H00 ON THE 18 APRIL 2019 AND RE-OPEN ON THE 23 APRIL 2019 DUE TO EASTER HOLIDAYS. FOR ESSENTIAL SERVICES DURING EASTER HOLIDAYS, KINDLY FIND THE ATTACHED LIST OF CONTACT NUMBERS.
URGENT NOTICE: PAYMENT OF OUTSTANDING CONSUMER ACCOUNTS - MUNICIPAL NOTICE NO.: 19-04-12/2019
Mkhondo Local Municipality is here by inviting all consumers to come and update their billing addresses and information for the purpose of sending monthly consumer accounts to the correct consumer address.
The Municipality is further advising consumers with outstanding debt on their municipal accounts to pay and settle such debts or either come to the municipal offices to make proper arrangements and sign payment agreement for their consumer accounts. Should a consumer continue owing the municipality with no arrangement and signed agreement with the municipality, the municipality will then terminate the services of electricity without any prior notice given to such consumer. The payments and agreements to settle municipal outstanding accounts can be entered into in the Department of Finance (Revenue section),
