NOTICE ON POSSIBLE WATER SUPPLY SHORTAGE DUE TO ESKOM STAGE 6 LOAD SHEDDING

This notice serves to notify residents of a possible water shortage resulting from the current Eskom stage 6 load shedding.

The municipality pumps water using electricity, during load shedding back-up generators are used to supply the whole town, which puts our generators under immense pressure during the implementation of high load shedding stages, which potentially lead to water shortages across the whole town.

It is therefore important for residents to ensure that water is stored to carry out daily duties.

In efforts to further assist residents, water tankers will be dispatched to supply water to the affected residents.

We request residents to make use of the municipal Contact Centre numbers below should they require any further assistance:

082 881 0447/
