Honoring Women in Sport - continuation
The Executive mayor of Mkhondo Local Municipality, Cllr Mthokozisi Simelane, Members of the Mayoral Committee, Municipal Officials, accompanied by Apostle S Phakathi, Chairperson of LFA, Flymingo Football members, and Thinasonke Mbuli - the Banyana Banyana Assistant Coach, visited uBuhlebuzile Secondarry School and Amadlelo Aluhlaza Secondary School to handover the Ladies Soccer kit and Netball Kit.
This program was a continuation of the theme "Honoring Women in Sports", the purpose of the program is to encourage young girls to participate in sport activitiesand become super stars of tomorrow. "We believe women of our lifetime are equally capable to perform well in any sport and also be in the fore-front in the sport industry".

CELEBRATING WOMEN IN SPORTS - "Ms Thina Mbuli"
The Executive Mayor of Mkhondo Local Municipality, Cllr Mthokozisi Simelane, continues to honor women who contribute positively in our communities. The "Celebrate women in sports" event, which form part of "Women's Day celebration" was hosted by the municipality in honor of women in sports within eMkhondo, and most to celebrate Ms Thina Mbuli originally from eMkhondo, for her significant role as Banyana Banyana Assistant Coach, whom had recently won the WAFCON Champions 2022.
THE LIFE AND TIMES OF uGOGO "VIOLET NKABINDE"
The Executive Mayor of Mkhondo Local Municipality, Cllr Mthokozisi Simelane, has launched a booklet titled, "The Life and Times of uGogo - Violet Nkabinde" as a sign of honoring her for the great work she has done in her lifetime in eMkhondo. This wonderful Women's Day celebration was held on the 09 August 2022 in Mkhondo Local Municipality Town Hall.
