On Day 2 of the drive, yesterday, led by the Acting Executive Mayor, Cllr Mary Thwala, MMC for Technical Services, and supported by Ward Councillors, Municipal officials and together with the Target Groups Manager, Mbekeni Simelane visited three schools which benefited from the donation.
Which included:
- Jikantathu Primary School (Ward 02)
- Msinyane Primary School (Ward 04)
- Mlilo Comprehensive School (Ward 06)
The Donated Items included:
- School Shoes: to ensure pupils have proper footwear for school
- Socks: to complement the school shoes
- Toiletries: to promote good hygiene practices
- Sanitary Towels: to support young girls and empower them to attend school with confidence
This initiative demonstrates the commitment to ensuring that every child has access to basic necessities, restoring dignity and hope in the classroom.
These initiatives show that community support can make a significant difference in the lives of underprivileged learners.
