On Wednesday, 06 August 2025, Executive Mayor, Cllr. Ngelosi Ndhlovu, led a community upliftment initiative by visiting three local primary schools: Nqobile Primary School, Salem Primary School, and Ziwelile Primary School.
During her visit, the Executive Mayor donated essential items, including:
- School Shoes
- School Socks
- Toiletries
- and Sanitary Towels,
For the purpose of supporting the less privileged pupils. This effort highlights our ongoing commitment to providing every child with the basic necessities required to thrive academically.
The program was managed by Mr. Mbhekeni Simelane, Manager in the Office of the Executive Mayor, and was attended by the MMC for Technical Services, Cllr. Mary Thwala, Ward Councillors, and Municipal officials, demonstrating a unified effort to empower our youth and foster a brighter future for the community.
