On 29 April 2025, Mkhondo Local Municipality held its final 2025/26 Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Budget consultation meeting at Skyfin Community Hall in Ward 17.
The meeting was presided over by Ward Councillor Cllr. Mthokozisi Simelane.
The primary objective of the meeting was to engage with the community regarding their service delivery needs in accordance with the IDP document. Additionally, matters related to tariffs and indigent support were discussed.
During the meeting, community members were given the opportunity to voice their concerns and provide input regarding service delivery within the ward.
In attendance were the General Manager for Corporate Services, Ms. Wendy Mahlangu; Acting Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Thulasizwe Motha; Senior Manager, Mrs. Buyi Nxumalo; Senior Manager for Environmental Management and Social Development, Mr. Vusiwe Dube; along with other key Mkhondo Local Municipality officials, Ward Committees, and Community Development Workers.
