Today, 30 May 2025, the Acting Executive Mayor, Cllr. Mary Thwala – MMC for Technical Services, led a successful Stakeholder Engagement Session focused on strengthening partnerships between the municipality and key community development sectors.

The session aimed to promote dialogue, coordination, and collaboration among NPOs, NGOs, CBOs, civil society organisations, and caregivers — all united by a shared commitment to improving lives in Mkhondo.

Discussions centred on the critical role of ongoing support for community organisations and the importance of unified efforts to address social challenges and enhance service delivery.

As part of the programme, eligible residents were encouraged to register for the indigent support programme to ensure access to basic municipal services.

The session was attended by Cllr. Thembi Khumalo – MMC for Planning and Economic Development, Cllr. Walter Vilakazi – MMC for Community Services, Cllr. Mthandeni Mkhabela – MMC for Corporate Services, Municipal officials, representatives from various NPOs, NGOs, CBOs, Government departments, and Community Stakeholders.

“Together, we reaffirm our commitment to a responsive, inclusive, and caring municipality”.
