UPDATE ON UNPLANNED POWER OUTAGE DUE TO CABLE THEFT
This notice serves to notify residents that the Municipality is aware of the current power outage, resulting from cable theft that occurred on Thursday, 14 September 2023 at the Transnet Bridge.
Upon the team's inception on the repairs aimed at addressing the incident, it was discovered that another cable was damaged, which caused a delay in fixing the cables.
The team is working around the clock to fix the problem.

Welverdiend section and surrounding areas.
The estimated restoration time is 16:00 pm.
The estimated time of 16:00 pm changed to 20:00 pm. Based on the 16:00-20:00pm estimation, the team has completed repairs and electricity has been restored.
