Notice on Closure of Mkhondo Local Municipality Offices due to Festive Season Holidays 2017
This Notice is hereby issued to inform members of the Public, that the Municipal Offices will be Closed and Re-Open on the following dates:
- Closure: 20 December 2017, Time at 13H00
- Re-Open: 04 January 2018, Time at 07H30, due to Festive Season Holidays.
Nevertheless all essential services, covering Standby services, Emergency services, and Refuse removal will continue as Normal.
NB: Cashiers at all Pay Points will be Trading between 09:00am and 12:00, on the following weekdays (22 & 29 December 2017) for Payment of Utility Services.
Notice of Intention to prepare a Land Use Scheme
Mkhondo Local Municipality hereby gives notice, that in terms of Chapter 5 Section 24 of the Spatial Planning Land use Management Act of 2013 (SPLUMA) read in conjunction with Chapter 3 Section 15 (1) and (2) of the Mkhondo Local Municipality Land Use Management By-Law of 2016 that it intends to prepare a wall to wall Land Use Scheme.

On the 21 November 2017, Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation together with Mkhondo Local Municipality embarked on a journey to educate the community members in ward 9 at Moolman about the importance and role of Archives and Records Management Services.

Tourism Horse Racing Heritage 2017
Mkhondo Local Municipality Tourism division hosted a Horse Race Event in Saul Mkhizeville (Driefontein) in celebration of Heritage and Tourism and invited Horse Racers from Saul Mkhizeville and surrounding to compete during the event. It was a very extraordinary event "Intuthuko Iqala Ngathi".

Mkhondo Local Municipality By-Law for Property Rates
Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 21A read 98(1-2) of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, No. 32 of 2000 (as amended) that Mkhondo Local Municipality has adopted the By-Law for Property Rates, the By-Law will be available for Inspection, Inputs and Comments, at Mkhondo Municipal Offices during office hours, from 1 December until 17 January 2018, Attached herewith the list of addresses and areas.
