17 September 2026 – Mkhondo Local Municipality convened its final Integrated Development Plan (IDP) Representative Forum meeting for the term at the Mkhondo Local Municipality Council Chambers.
The session brought together key stakeholders, including sector departments, Gert Sibande District Municipality, Councillors and private-sector representatives.
The primary objective of the session was to assess the implementation of the IDP during the fourth quarter, identify challenges and collectively develop solutions.
The session also focused on strengthening alignment between municipal, stakeholder plans and the developmental needs of the people of Mkhondo.
During the deliberations, stakeholders presented their programmes and commitments implemented during the fourth quarter, with particular emphasis on basic service delivery, economic growth and skills development.
