IN PICTURES || It was all about wellness, happiness, and lots of laughter.
On 26 September 2025, marked the final day of the 2025 South African Municipal Wellness Association (SAMWA) national wellness games. The games were hosted by Bojanala District Municipality in Rustenburg in the North West province. The games were proudly sponsored by Letsatsi Financial Service.
Once again, Team Mkhondo did not disappoint in yesterday’s final matches, which saw four of six sporting codes show exceptional performances in all of their final matches, which led them to the podium stage.
The team Mkhondo continues to be the champions of the SAMWA games, in two of our sporting codes and two taking third place.
TeamMkhondo’s Male Volleyball fought their way up to the title of champions exceptionally well, walking away with champion victory in the finals, receiving a Trophy and Gold medals.
It was also a celebratory mood on the Pool team where they walked away with a champions position at the final whistle and headed to the podium for their Trophy and Gold medals
The Tug-of-War team gave outstanding performances and headed to the podium stage taking a 3rd position and receiving Bronze medals.
Our Netball team was not left out of the podium’s shine by becoming 3rd position, and receiving Bronze medals.
On the pich, our soccer team continued with their best performance util at the last whistle.
“Our new kids on the block”, team Darts, proved themselves very hard, gave incredible performances until the very end of their games.
The support. cheering and laughter from the councillors of Mkhondo Local Municipality couldn’t be taken for granted, they were very encouraging and team spirit uplifting.
