IN PICTURES || Borehole Oversight Visit in Ward 15
The Gert Sibande District Municipality (GSDM) Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC) and the Mkhondo Local Municipality MPAC, on 19 November 2025 conducted an oversight visit to borehole sites in Ward 15 Villages. The visit aimed to assess progress on the ongoing borehole project and verify the operational status of the installations.
The boreholes have improved access to clean and reliable water for communities of eNtombe, Ezintabeni Ezimnyama, Bazane Village, and KwaSbhodla Nederland. The delegation, led by GSDM MPAC Chairperson Cllr. Noliqwa Nhlapho, included MLM MPAC Chairperson Cllr. DM Ntshakala, and representatives from both municipalities, Councillors and Business people who engaged with local communities and assessed the project’s impact.
The visit reinforced the committees’ commitment to ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery in eMkhondo.
