Mkhondo Local Municipality, in partnership with the Gert Sibande District Municipality Men’s Sector, launched a Men’s Forum programme at the Council Chambers on 04 December 2025. The session aimed to establish a committee to address challenges faced by men and bridge the gap between men and the boy child.
The programme is part of a provincial initiative to combat GBV in South Africa. The session was chaired by Bishop Mkhonza, Gert Sibande District Municipality Men’s Sector Chairperson, and attended by traditional leaders, councillors, and community members.
The forum seeks t o strengthen efforts against GBV and promote positive masculinity.
