Mkhondo Local Municipality Speaker of Council, Cllr. Mduduzi Ngwenya conducted a voter education session at Westeodam Village in Ward 19 today.
The session involved providing information on who is eligible to vote, how to register, and how to elect preferred candidates during the voting process.

Mkhondo Local Municipality Speaker of Council, Cllr. Mduduzi Ngwenya, together with the Manager responsible for outreach programmes, within Gert Sibande District Municipality, Mr.Sabelo Sikhakhane, conducted a voter education session at Madola Village in Ward 08 yesterday, 07 February 2024.
The session involved providing information on who is eligible to vote, how to register, and how to elect preferred candidates during the voting process.

HOPE LAUNDRY & PROJECTS CO-OPERATIVE BENEFITS FROM RECEIVING ADVANCED TOOLS OF TRADE
Yesterday, 06 February 2024, Gert Sibande District Municipality, in partnership with Mkhondo Local Municipality, visited Hope Laundry and Projects Cooperative in Richards Bay under Ward 12.
The visit was led by Gert Sibande District Municipality MMC for Planning and Economic Development, Cllr. B Buthelezi, along with Cllr. TE Khumalo, MMC for Planning and Economic Development in Mkhondo Local Municipality.
The purpose of the visit was to hand over a 14 KG Primus Industrial Washing Machine, 2.5 LT Boiler, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Hope Laundry received the goods with immense appreciation as the equipment will enhance the project's efficiency, with the hope of attracting and increasing its clientele count.
SPEAKER OF COUNCIL VOTER EDUCATION PROGRAMME
The Speaker of Council, Cllr. Mduduzi Ngwenya of Mkhondo Local Municipality alongside the Whip of Council who is also the Ward four Councillor, Cllr. Daniel Thwala, Senior Manager in the Office of the Speaker at Gert Sibande District Municipality,Mr. Sam Msibi and other municipal officials visited the community of Boesman Village situated in Ward 04 yesterday, 06 February 2024.
The outreach was held to inform and educate residents of Boesman Village on the importance of voting and also provided ways to ensure that all voting procedures are followed accordingly to avoid spoilt ballots papers.

Mkhondo Local Municipality Speaker of Council, Cllr. Mduduzi Ngwenya together with Ward 5 Councillor, Cllr. Johnson Nkosi visited Izimbali Combined Boarding School today, 02 February 2024 to conduct an education session for learners eligible to vote in the upcoming National Government Elections
The core focus of this morning's sitting was to educate pupils on the importance of voting and to assist them with registration thereof.
In promoting hygiene and comfort amongst girl learners, the Speaker donanted sanitary towels to the young ladies in attendance.
NEW FLEET FOR MKHONDO LOCAL MUNICIPALITY

Mkhondo Local Municipality Executive Mayor, Cllr. Ngelosi Ndhlovu handed over six new fleet to different departments of the municipality today.
These vehicles will be used to ease service delivery backlog within the departments to ensure that service delivery is within reach for the community of Mkhondo.
