FOLLOW-UP VISIT TO AMADLELO ALUHLAZA SECONDARY SCHOOL AND DONATION OF SCHOOL UNIFORM TO THUTHUKANI STIMULATION CENTRE (THANDUKUKHANYA)
The MEC for Public Works, Road and Transport, Hon.Mandla Ndlovu, Mkhondo Local Municipality Executive Mayor, Cllr. Ngelosi Ndhlovu and Gert Sibande District Municipality Acting Executive Mayor, Cllr. Bhekabantu Mtshali visited Amadlelo Aluhlaza Secondary School today, 23 January 2024 as part of monitoring the school since the re-opening for the 2024 academic school year.
The aim of the visit was to support the school's performance through infrastructure development to allow for a conducive learning environment.
The school reported an impressive incline in their matric pass rate in the 2023 academic year and aims to improve further.
The delegation also visited Thuthukani Stimulation Centre to donate school uniform sets to all the learners at the Centre.
UPDATE ON UNPLANNED WATER INTERRUPTION NOTICE
The repairs at the Old Water Treatment Works are currently ongoing, following the waterbreak that occurred yesterday, 17th of January 2024.
The estimated time of completion is currently unknown and further progress will be communicated.
The municipality apologise for the inconvinence caused.
NOTICE ON UNPLANNED WATER INTERRUPTION
Mkhondo Local Municipality would like to inform its residents that there will be water interruption around eThandakukhanya, town, and surroundings.
This is due to a waterbreak between the Old Water Treatment Works and the Main Reservoir. The Old Water Treatment Works has been switched off to allow for repairs.
The team is on the ground, attending to the matter, and the ETA is currently unknown.
Updates on the progress will be commcommunicated.
