On the 16th of October 2025, Ward Councillor/Speaker of Council, Cllr. Mduduzi Ngwenya successfully conducted an IDP and Budget consultation meeting to the community of Ward 08 the Twelve Apostles Church, eMaphepheni.
The Councillor further presented projects that are completed, outstanding issues and projects planned, and the community members were also given an opportunity to voice out their concerns pertaining service delivery needs and presented valuable insights on projects priorities.
The meeting attendees included the PR Councillor/MMC Technical Services – Cllr. Mary Thwala, Senior Manager Roads and Storm Water – Mr. Phakamani Ndlovu, together with Community Development Workers (CDWs) and other municipal officials to facilitate discussions and provide relevant information to the community. The team demonstrated strong commitment to the development, social and welfare of the community.
The Mkhondo Local Municipality’s IDP and Budget Consultation Meetings demonstrate the municipality’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and community-driven development. So, by engaging with residents, the municipality can create a more effective IDP and budget that addresses the needs of each ward.
