Today, 30 January 2026, the Mkhondo Local Municipality Speaker of Council, Cllr. MZ Ngwenya, led an Education Empowerment Programme at Mlilo Combined School to motivate Grade 12 learners to approach the academic year with commitment and discipline, strive for academic excellence.
He further encouraged them to fully apply themselves diligently towards successfully completing their matric year and progressing to tertiary education.
Recognising the challenges that the schools and the learners faced with, Cllr. Ngwenya donated classroom doors, printing paper, and school shoes for the needy ones, demonstrating the Municipality’s continued commitment to supporting education and improving learning environments.
The programme attendees included, Ward 6 Councillor – Cllr. MS Ngwenya, with other municipal officials in the presence of the School Principal, Teachers and the School Governing Body.
