On 26 April 2025, Mkhondo Local Municipality conducted its 2025/26 Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Budget consultation meeting at the Amsterdam France Community Hall under Ward 05.
The meeting was presided over by Ward Councillor Cllr. JM Nkosi.
The primary objective of the meeting was to engage with the community regarding their service delivery needs in accordance with the IDP document. The Councillor also presented projects that have been completed by the municipality in Ward 05 and discussed the progress of other outstanding projects as outlined in the previous IDP document.
Residents were given the opportunity to participate in the session by providing input on the service delivery issues affecting their livelihoods. They were encouraged to register for the indigent program to ensure that they continue to receive essential services without interruption.
Supporting the meeting were MLM-deployed officials, Community Development Workers, and Ward Committee Members.
