On 06 March 2026, the Office of the Speaker hosted a councillors’ workshop session at the Mkhondo Council Chambers.
The workshop aimed to provide guidance and clarity on municipal boundaries, with particular focus on the alignment of the ward delimitation process.
It also sought to equip councillors with a better understanding of demarcation processes, the implications of demarcation decisions, and the technical support mechanisms available to assist them in clearly understanding the parameters of their respective wards.
During the session, internal municipal departments presented on various matters, including municipal by-laws, the Cemetery Policy, and flat rates.
The workshop provided councillors with an important platform to engage, ask questions, and gain valuable insights that will assist them in effectively carrying out their responsibilities in serving their respective communities.
