On 24 March 2026, Mkhondo Local Municipality, through its Risk Management Unit, hosted an Anti-Fraud and Corruption, Ethics, and Code of Conduct workshop for its employees and councillors at the Municipal Council Chambers.
The workshop featured presentations from the Office of the Premier, the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks), and the Special Investigating Unit (SIU). These institutions were providing strategic guidance on ethical leadership, accountability, and measures aimed at preventing and combating fraud and corruption within the municipality.
This initiative underscores the municipality’s ongoing commitment to upholding the principles of integrity among the employees, transparency, and good governance in the delivery of services to the community.
