IN PICTURES || It was indeed a Day filled with excitement, teamwork, and joy, reflecting the spirit of wellness and unity within the municipal employees.
Mkhondo Local Municipality on 08 October 2025, hosted a successful Employee Wellness Day at the Mkhondo Town Hall grounds under the theme, “Wellness is the way of life,” aimed to promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle among employees.
Employees participated in various fun activities. They started with a Fun Walk and Fun Run, followed by the Aerobics – including Dibeke, Morabaraba, Jiskie, Intonga, Darts and Tug of war games.
In between the plays, employees had an opportunity to visit multiple beneficial Exhibitors, the likes of Healthcare services for health checkups etcetera amongst the others.
The Executive Mayor Cllr Ngelosi Ndhlovu together with some of the Councillors also visited the exhibitors and engaged with them in relation to the services they provide.
Later on the during the awards ceremony, the Executive Mayor was joined by Members of the Mayoral Committee and Councillors to award outstanding employees in various sporting activities with medals and lucky draw winners of the Massage prices.
The jointly valued contributions of multiple stakeholders inclusive of local businesses, private and Non government organizations really made the Wellness Day event possible.
