On 03 February 2026, the Mkhondo Local Municipality, in partnership with Gift of the Givers, distributed disaster relief packs to the Madabukela community.
MMC Thembi Khumalo thanked Gift of the Givers for their generosity and continued support. The disaster relief packs were the act of humanity at ensuring that affected communities continue to have access to basic necessities such as food and water following the disasters that took place in December.
The programme was attended by MMC for Planning and Economic Development Cllr. TE Khumalo, MMC for Community Services Cllr. J.M. Nkosi, General Manager for Community Services Ms Zamanyambose Mthethwa, and other municipal officials.
