IN PICTURES || Furniture Trainees Workshop
Mkhondo Local Municipality, through its Local Economic Development (LED) Office, in partnership with the Department of Economic Development and Tourism and FURNTECH, conducted a furniture manufacturing workshop at the Mkhondo Town Hall, today, 10 February 2026.
The workshop aimed to empower furniture trainees by providing guidance on business registration, entrepreneurship, and access to funding and grant opportunities.
Officials from both the Municipality and the Department highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship in driving job creation and sustainable livelihoods.
The session was attended by the General Manager for Planning and Economic Development, Ntando Bembe; Acting Special Projects Coordinator; Thembi Bujela; officials from the Department of Economic Development and Tourism; and other key stakeholders.
