The Mkhondo Local Municipality Speaker of Council, Cllr. MZ Ngwenya, conducted an informative and educational session with learners from Ziwelile Primary School at the Municipal Council Chambers earlier today, 07 May 2026.
The purpose of the session was to educate learners on how proceedings and operations are conducted within the Municipal Council Chambers. Speaker of Council Cllr. M.Z Ngwenya also took the opportunity to outline his role as Speaker, as well as the responsibilities of councillors and the different political parties represented within Council.
During the session, learners actively engaged by answering questions based on what they had learnt. Cllr. M.Z Ngwenya further encouraged the learners to remain dedicated to their studies, work hard throughout the academic year, and always strive to achieve their best.
