The Mkhondo Local Municipality’s Speaker of Council, Cllr. Mduduzi Ngwenya, led an oversight visit to Amsterdam on 27 August 2025.
The visit aimed to track progress and strengthen accountability in service delivery ahead of the Council Meeting at Amsterdam Town Hall.
The Projects visited included:
- Main Substation: A key infrastructure project to improve the municipality’s power supply.
- Sewer & Water Reticulation Infrastructure: A project focused on enhancing water and sanitation services.
- KwaThandeka Main Access Road: A vital road infrastructure project to improve access and connectivity.
- Gabosch Dam: A significant water infrastructure project supporting the municipality’s water supply and management.
The oversight visit demonstrates the municipality’s commitment to ensuring that projects are progressing as planned and that service delivery meets the community’s needs.
