On 3 October 2025, a successful IDP and budget consultation meeting was conducted at Corner Community Hall in Saul MkhizeVille at Ward 01.
The session was co-chaired by Ward 01 Councillor, Cllr. ND Sangweni, with PR Councillor, Cllr. MJ Dlamini.
The Ward Councillor presented projects that are completed, outstanding issues and projects planned. Community members were also given an opportunity to voice out their concerns pertaining service delivery needs and presented valuable insights on projects priorities.
The meeting was attended by the Municipal officials, councillors, ward committee members, and Community Development Workers (CDWs) to facilitate discussions and provide relevant information to the community. The team also demonstrated strong commitment to the development, social and welfare of the community.
The Mkhondo Local Municipality’s IDP and Budget Consultation Meetings demonstrate the municipality’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and community-driven development. So,By engaging with residents, the municipality can create a more effective IDP and budget that addresses the needs of each ward.
