On 09 October 2025, Ward Councillor, Cllr. Mlamuleli Mbatha successfully conducted Ward 03 IDP and Budget Consultation meeting at Kwa-Ngema Youth Centre.
The Councillor presented projects that are completed, outstanding issues and projects planned, and the community members were also given an opportunity to voice out their concerns pertaining service delivery needs and presented valuable insights on projects priorities.
The Councillors who attended the meeting included Cllr Sibiya, Cllr Mkhwanazi, Cllr Simelane, Cllr Ntshakala, together with Ward Committee Members, Community Development Workers (CDWs), and Municipal officials to facilitate discussions and provide relevant information to the community. The team demonstrated strong commitment to the development, social and welfare of the community.
The Mkhondo Local Municipality’s IDP and Budget Consultation Meetings demonstrate the municipality’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and community-driven development. So, by engaging with residents, the municipality can create a more effective IDP and budget that addresses the needs of each ward.
