IN PICTURES || On 23 October 2025, Ward Councillor, Cllr. I Brussow successfully conducted Ward 07 IDP and Budget Consultation meeting to the community at the Municipal Town Hall.
The meeting commenced with the ward councillor presenting projects that are completed, outstanding issues and projects planned, and the community members were also given an opportunity to voice out their concerns pertaining service delivery needs and presented valuable insights on projects priorities.
During the proceedings of the meeting, Mr Nhleko from the Office of the Speaker presided over the election of four (04) Ward Committee Members for ward 07 who will work hand-in-hand with the ward councillor.
The attendees included deployed Municipal Official, Ward Committee Members and Community Development Workers (CDWs) to facilitate discussions and provide relevant response or information to the community.
The Mkhondo Local Municipality’s IDP and Budget Consultation Meetings demonstrate the municipality’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and community-driven development. So, by engaging with residents, the municipality can create a more effective IDP and budget that addresses the needs of each ward.
