On 22 October 2025, Community members of Ward 10 actively participated in the IDP and Budget Consultation meeting at Kempville Community Hall, voicing their concerns, and providing input on service delivery issues affecting their livelihoods. Ward 10 Councillor, Cllr. MZ Thomo successfully conducted the meeting, She then discussed project priorities with the community, ensuring the municipality’s IDP and budget align with the needs of each ward. She further outlined completed and ongoing projects, discussed progress and outstanding issues to the community.
Eligible residents are also encouraged to register for the indigent program, ensuring they receive essential services without interruption.
Attendees included Senior Manager Environmental and Social Services – Mr Vusiwe Dube and other municipal officials, Community Development Workers, and Ward Committee Members to facilitate discussions and provide relevant information to the community.
The Mkhondo Local Municipality’s IDP and Budget Consultation Meetings demonstrate the municipality’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and community-driven development. By engaging with residents, the municipality can create a more effective IDP and budget that addresses the needs of each ward.
