The last session of the day, 12 October 2025, IDP and Budget Consultation meeting was successfully chaired by the PR Councillor, Cllr Mary Thwala at Ward 14, Alliance Church.
The PR Councillor commenced by presenting projects that are completed, outlined outstanding issues and projects planned, and the community members as well were given an opportunity to voice out their concerns pertaining service delivery needs and presented valuable insights on projects priorities.
The meeting was attended by delegated municipal officials, together with Ward Committee Members and Community Development Workers (CDWs) to facilitate discussions and provide relevant information to the community. The team demonstrated strong commitment to the development, social and welfare of the community.
The Mkhondo Local Municipality’s IDP and Budget Consultation Meetings demonstrate the municipality’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and community-driven development. So, by engaging with residents, the municipality can create a more effective IDP and budget that addresses the needs of each ward.
