IN PICTURES | ACT OF GENEROSITY: Mkhondo Local Municipality’s Local AIDS Council Supports Family in Need.
The Mkhondo Local Municipality’s Local AIDS Council (LAC) recently demonstrated its commitment to supporting vulnerable communities through a visit to a household in eZinkonjaneni, Ward 17, led by Executive Mayor Cllr. Ngelosi Ndhlovu on 03 September 2025.
The LAC members aimed to provide assistance to a family living in chronic poverty.
The LAC, together with various sister departments and stakeholders, donated essential items such as groceries, cleaning supplies, linens, windows, paint, doors, and door frames. Municipal officials and Community Work Programme (CWP) members worked together to clear the yard, clean the house and toilet, and support renovation efforts.
The initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders, including the Department of Health, Mpumalanga Office of the Premier, Empowerment Centre, Bambanani Victim Support, and many others.
