The Office of the Speaker facilitated the election of the Local Moral Regeneration Movement committee at Mkhondo Council Chambers today, 20 January 2026.
The session, was conducted by Speaker of Council Cllr. Mduduzi Ngwenya and Archbishop SM Nkosi. It aimed to establish a committee to promote moral values and coordinate initiatives in the Mkhondo community.
The elected committee will represent the community and work to restore ethical values locally and district-wide. Attendees included Cllr. SD Thwala, Cllr. JM Nkosi, Traditional Healers, and representatives from various departments and community groups.
