The meeting was held at Skyfin Hall in Ward 13, directed by the Speaker of Council, Cllr. MZ Ngwenya and Ward Councillor, Cllr. NS Mthethwa.
Municipal Officials and Law Enforcement (SAPS) were also present, and took part in the dialogue with community members.
The aim of the IDP review meeting is for the Municipality to review service delivery concerns that had been raised by the communities during the IDP Consultative Meetings.

MLM INTERGRATED DEVELOPMENT(IDP) PLAN REVIEW
Gert Sibande District Municipality visited Mkhondo Local Municipality for the reviewal of the 2024/25 IDP document.
The session was held to outline strategies towards the development of delivering basic services through the IDP document.
MLM SPEAKER OF COUNCIL ADDRESSES PROTESTERS OVER UNPAID SALARIES
Speaker of Council Cllr. Mduduzi Ngwenya, accompanied by MMC for Planning and Economic Development Cllr. Thembi Khumalo and Ward 13 Councillor, Cllr. Nonhlanhla Mthethwa addressed sub-contract workers at the Sbetha Community Health care Centre(clinic) who had shut down and closed roads around the Centre.
The workers were demanding that outstanding salaries be paid by the appointed contractor.
The Speaker promised to engage with the contractors and the Department of Health to assist in resolving the matter and will bring feedback on Wednesday, 20 September 2023.
