Service Delivery is our Priority... Executive Mayor, Cllr. Vusi Motha accompanied by the Municipal Administration and Business people, handed over Projects in various Mkhondo wards as part of the Mayoral Imbizo held on the 18 August 2018.
Projects handed over:
- Hawkers Stalls and Cemetery in ward 7 eMkhondo Town under Cllr. Brussow
- Bulk Water Line in ward 8 Maphepheni under Cllr. M Ngwenya
- Combo Courts in ward 2, Saul Mkhizeville under Cllr. TS NKosi
- Bus Route in ward 18, Saul Mkhizeville under Cllr. M Yende

PROPOSALS ARE HEREBY REQUESTED TO DEVELOP STRATEGIC MUNICIPAL LAND MADE AVAILABLE TO PRIVATE DEVELOPERS FOR A MIXED-USE RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH A PRIVATE SECTOR LED INVESTMENT FOR THE PROJECT - AMENDED MUNICIPAL NOTICE NO: 19/20-07-2018
Mkhondo Local Municipality hereby requests reputable private developers to submit proposals to develop strategic municipal land into a mixed-use residential development through a private sector-led investment in terms of Section 79(18) of the Local Government Ordinance, 1939 (Ordinance 17 of 1939) as amended read together with Section 21 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act 32 of 2000) as amended, Section 27 of the Mkhondo Supply Chain Policy, Section 14(2)(a)(b), (4), (5) read with Section 90 and Section 120 with Regulation 40 of the Municipal Financial Management Act, 2003 (Act 56 of 2003 as amended) for the disposal of municipal capital assets and the entering into land and development agreements with the Municipality.
