On 18 October 2025, Ward Councillor, Cllr. Thembi Qwabe successfully conducted an IDP and Budget consultation meeting at Phola Park Sportsground, Ward 16.
The Councillor further presented projects that are completed, outstanding issues and projects planned, and the community members were also given an opportunity to voice out their concerns pertaining service delivery needs and presented valuable insights on projects priorities.
Councillor Qwabe was accompanied by other delegated Councillors, Ward Community Members and Municipal officials with purpose to facilitate discussions and provide relevant information to the community. The team demonstrated strong commitment to the development, social and welfare of the community.
The Mkhondo Local Municipality’s IDP and Budget Consultation Meetings demonstrate the municipality’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and community-driven development. So, by engaging with residents, the municipality can create a more effective IDP and budget that addresses the needs of each ward.
