Integrated Development Plan and Budget consultative meetings commenced on 11 April 2024 and scheduled to take place throughout the rest of the month. 

The meetings are intended to engage with communities regarding service delivery within Wards.

Today, 20 April 2024, the 3rd meeting of the day was held at Kwa Thandeka Hall, under Ward 05.

The meeting was chaired by Ward 05 Councillor, Cllr. JM Nkosi. Assigned Municipal Officials and Ward Committee members were also present.

 

The Mkhondo Local Municipality today, 20 April 2024, conducted its second 2024/25 Draft IDP and Budget consultative meeting of the day, which was successfully held in Ward 16 at Alliance Church, KwaNtombazane.

The key purpose of these meetings is for the municipality to present the municipal developments planned concerning the 2024/25 projected draft budget for services (e.g. Electricity, Water and Infrastructure, etc), and to consult, present a platform, and also to engage with the community members regarding their service delivery concerns or outcry.

The respective Ward Councillor, Cllr. TM Qwabe led the meeting in the presence of the Ward Committee Members, Community Development Worker, delegated municipal officials, and also the community.

 

 

 

 

This was the first meeting of the day, held on 20 April 2024, at Blomendale Farm in Ward 09.

During the meeting, the community had the opportunity to choose and vote for their Ward Committee member to represent Blomendale Farm and the surrounding communities; this task was carried out by the Manager in the office of the Speaker, Pamela Vilakazi.

The meeting was chaired and facilitated by the Ward Councillor, Cllr. Thokozani Manana, and attended by the designated municipal officials.
